This area of the Virginia Piedmont is beautiful any day of the year, but in the Fall there are days when it is just spectacular. The hazy, humidity-ladened skies of summer are replaced by brilliant blue skies, and the clouds! I never get tired of looking at the clouds.
Then the leaves start their performance -- gold, brown, red, yellow, orange. On the trees, blowing through the air, on the ground, pushed by the wind into mounds in every corner and rustling in the wind. At first, the colors are muted and there are just a few leaves, but slowly they become much more vibrant and they are everywhere. I never get sick of looking at them, shuffling my feet through them and taking photos of them.
I hope you don't get sick of seeing the photos!
Farm Girl likes leaves, too.
